2020 Peaks
These are the peaks from our 2020 Truckee Tahoe Peak Project.
Twin Peaks
Tinker Knob
There is no easy route to Tinker Knob, or “Tinkers” to most of us, but the reward of perching atop one of the most recognizable peaks in North Tahoe is worth the effort!
Snow Valley Peak
Snow Valley Peak sits just above the Tahoe Rim Trail and offers stunning views of Marlette Lake floating above Lake Tahoe.
Sardine Peak
Dirt roads lead to the fire lookout atop Sardine Peak, making it a very accessible summit. (The gate is closed about 1/2 mile below the top.)
Relay Peak
Relay Peak is the highest point on the Tahoe Rim Trail.
Prosser Hill
Close to Truckee and lower in elevation, Prosser Hill is a good early season starter hike.
Mt. Tallac
Mt. Lola
Mt. Lincoln
Located within Sugar Bowl, Mt Lincoln is just off the Pacific Crest Trail and can be combined with nearby summits including Mt. Judah, Anderson Peak, or even Tinker Knob for a long day.
Mt. Baldy
Martis Peak Lookout
Little Chief
Hawks Peak
Tahoe Donner‘s Hawks Peak is accessible by bike or foot, and is groomed for nordic skiing (pass required) in the winter.
Genoa Peak
Freel Peak
Donner Peak
Anderson Peak
Basin Peak
Basin Peak is just north of Castle Peak along a gorgeous ridge trail. Continue around our favorite 13-mile “Warren Lake Loop” for luscious wildflowers late into the season.
